Saisonal Renting on Giens Peninsula
La Bergerie beach stretches along the stretch of sand that connects the mainland and the Giens peninsula, near the typical village of La Capte. The beach is approximately 4 km long and the water is shallow. It offers a very beautiful view of the bay of Hyères, rather sheltered from the mistral. Frequented in summer in particular by families, it is a beautiful place to walk in the off-season.
A little before the Capte, the Salin des Pesquiers (fishermen) - ecological site of 550ha - is located in the heart of the sandy coastal cord which connects the peninsula of Giens to Hyères. These ancient salt flats of Hyères are home to an exceptional ornithological heritage. More than 70 species nest there, 206 migratory species pass there and more than a hundred drunk, including the Flamingo (about 800 birds in winter and up to 2000 in August and September).
The diversity of natural environments (ponds) has helped the development of an important botanical heritage: more than 300 species of plants, orchids, sand lilies ...
